I have seen some interesting videos on You Tube, etc. that I thought I'd post on here as well.
Hope you enjoy them as I have.
This is a speech from John Hagee. Although he does not have an understanding of the 2 Houses of Israel, at least he is making a stand for Israel!
Here's one for Pasach/Passover!
This one is fun for Hanukkah!
I like this one because it is the Midrash that moves them. Midrash in my congregation is the discussion of Torah. So it's music to our soul and it moves us.
Here is a beautiful video of the land of Israel. It's our land, our home, even if we are not there....yet! It is also a reminder that there are those who have gone before us and have struggled to prepare and restore the land.
Be Brave be Strong! A powerful music video. Watching this video brings tears to my eyes and gives me a love for the land. Pray for Israel that not only will they be brave and strong but that they will return to Torah and come to the understanding of who Moshiach Yahshua is!
This one is for my Mother. She always wanted this song at one of her kids or her grandkids weddings and so far none of us complied. Well, at least I have it on the blogsite!
Here is a beautiful scene from the movie Fiddler on the Roof, Sabbath Prayer. I of course would change the words to "May Yahweh defend and protect you". As well as insert Yahweh's Name in the other appropriate places.
Here is a beautiful example of the sound of the shofar. You can also hear it when you listen to the Ahronic Blessing that my husband John does.
One of my favorite movies is "Schindler's List" directed by Steven Spielberg. There are many emotionally touching scenes in this movie but the one that grips me the most is the final scene when he is presented a ring. He begins to break down and although he saved many lives his soul is tortured in the thought that he could have done more. Anyone who is involved in any kind of ministry knows how this feels. You always reflect on how you could do more!
Don't forget to scroll to the bottom of the page to watch the video of the Moshav Band singing "Eliyahu Hanavi" and "Bereshit".
Eliyahu Hanavi by Moshav Band
Eliyahu Hanavi
Here are the Hebrew and English words for the first song. It is a traditional Pasach / Passover song sung at Seders. However not usually so hip!
Eliyahu hanavi Eliyahu hatishbi, Eliyahu hagil'adi - Bim'hera yavoh eleinu, im Mashiach ben David. (x2)
Elijah the prophet Elijah the returning, Elijah the giladi - May he soon come to us, with the Messiah son of David. (x2)
Bereshit / Genesis 1
The second song is Bereshit or Genesis 1. I am still working on getting the lyrics but here's a start.
Bereshit barah Elohim et hashamayim ve et ha’aretzVeha’aretz hayta tohu vavohu vechoshech al pnei hatehom.
In the beginning Elohim created the Heaven and the Earth. And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
Vayia’ar Elohim ki tov. And Elohim saw, and, behold, it was very good.
